Most
people who play poker also
play online but if you live
within the United States
you will know that this
is not always the easiest
thing to do. With the restrictions
in place from the UIGEA
most rooms are no longer
offering services to players
from the US and those that
do don't have as many payment
solutions in place to fund
accounts. As of to date
there are five methods available
to USA players. This paged
details each of the payment
processors available to
you as well as information
on how to create and account
with the company and which
online poker rooms and casinos
support this payment option.
If a new method becomes available we will update this page as needed, but for now these are the available options for USA players to deposit or withdrawal from their online poker accounts.
Echeck Deposits
Online poker rooms that accept eChecks is still limited in numbers but it
is one of the easiest options that we have used ourselves. This option allows
you to write a virtual check from your checking account and have funds added
to your poker account instantly. You can’t use it to withdrawal but
you won’t be paying any processing fees either. The instant checks
are equipped with the same security features as your regular checks and another
of benefit to this payment is you will never need to open another account
with a payment processor since all of the eCheck transactions are completed
by the poker room.
Credit Cards Deposits
The credit card option is the most commonly used payment option for online
players to deposit to their poker accounts. Some poker rooms will also allow
you to request withdrawals if you are a Visa card holder. That being said
not all USA credit cards will be accepted and finding the right room that
will accept your payment is few and far between. If this is an option that
you want to use to deposit on your poker account then we suggest you check
out SportsBook Poker. This poker room is available only for USA players.
They also have the highest approval rating for USA credit card transactions
in the industry, so much so that very few will be turned down.
eWalletXpress Deposits
Poker rooms supporting eWalletXpress can usually be found at any site that
accepts USA players. This method works like an online debit card in that
you will be able to load your eWalletXpress account and have access to your
funds 24/7. As long as funds are available in your account you will be able
to deposit to any supporting poker or casino site. There are some processing
fees players will be charged for each transaction and depending on which
poker site you choose you will be able to claim an additional bonus in addition
to the regular deposit bonus. Players who wish to use eWalletXpress will
need to set up an account first before they can use this option to fund their
online accounts.
Western Union Deposits
Depositing onto poker sites using Western
Union is available for most USA
accepted sites and although this option provides a quick and easy solution
it does have some negatives players should be aware of. This payment option
is easy due to the amount of Western Union locations throughout the world.
In fact most US cities should have a dealer location and if not, then you
have the option to fund your account via the online website. Western Union
does charge fees for both deposits and withdrawals which in our opinion is
one of the highest you will find out of all the payment options listed on
this page. If you would like to use Western Union to deposit into your casino
or poker player account we have a detailed review on how to do this.
UseMyWallet Deposits
Poker rooms offering UseMyWallet also provide the option of QuickTender.
These two payment options go hand in hand since it’s virtually the
same company. QuickTender is the payment processor that replaced EcoCard
when that company pulled out from the US. QuickTender deposits can be made
wherever the UseMyWallet logo is found and the majority of online rooms offer
this method for you. Players will be able to deposit and withdrawal their
funds from their player accounts seamlessly and payments are immediate. The
UseMyWallet option does require that you pay a fee for each transaction although
this is sometimes waived depending on the room you choose to play at.
